‘The Flash’ Movie Premiere: How AI Video Booths Add Magic to the Red Carpet Experience

In today's age of technology, the movie premiere experience has been elevated to a new level. Photo and video activations allow fans to interact with their favourite stars, create personalized mementos, and capture the essence of cinematic moments like never before. It’s no wonder these immersive experiences have become a movie marketing staple.

Working with one of our favourite clients, we created a video experience to remember at The Flash's red carpet premiere at Toronto’s Scotiabank Theatre. It was a fan’s dream cinematic experience, full of giveaways, exclusive merch, and immersive photo opportunities.

We’re no strangers to creating memorable photo and video experiences, and The Flash’s special advanced screening was the perfect opportunity to show our chops. Keep reading to discover how we brought fans closer to the action and magic of the silver screen with an awesome custom video booth.

Our client’s goal was to deliver a unique interactive experience at the event to engage guests and create buzz on social media. So what better way than to have them star in the film itself?

Like we always say—if the movies can do it, we can do it. Using AI video booth technology, we invited fans to step inside The Flash movie trailer to emulate the iconic speedster himself.

We started by creating an interactive video graphic using clips from the official trailer. To get professional results, we replicated the video lighting, applied shadow effects, and matched the music and branding to immerse guests and create a fully authentic experience.

Much like the work that goes into filming a movie, our photo and video booths are a production. Our Directors were on site to guide guests in the video booth set, and each video was instantly edited with custom animations and an outro. We use professional video and lighting equipment to capture high-quality footage. Think of it as a mini movie studio for capturing events!

In terms of movie marketing, the authentic user interactions generated by branded activations are instrumental in promoting and enhancing the brand of a film or movie franchise. It's all about creating buzz for the movie. Those genuine moments and authentic experiences attendees get? That turns guests into movie advocates, spreading the word and building excitement.

Fans get the chance to interact with the movie in an unscripted way, which, in turn, fosters a fan base that's not just there for the popcorn, but genuinely loves the film. It's like building a community of die-hard supporters who feel a deep connection to the movie.

And you know what happens when people have fun at events? They can't help but talk about it to everyone they know. Positive word-of-mouth spreads like wildfire, turning those authentic and enjoyable activation experiences into some serious movie promotion. It's not just about watching a film; it's about becoming part of the story and wanting to share that joy.

Our booth setup featured branded materials on the QR code, camera, and email interface, making it easy for fans to receive and share their video results instantly.

People love to show off interactive experiences online. The Instagram pics, the Twitter shoutouts — all that user-generated content becomes a powerful promo tool. It's like having an army of fans shouting from the digital mountaintops and bringing in a wider audience.

When fans consistently have positive and authentic experiences with a franchise, you've got fans for life. It's the kind of loyalty that stands the test of time, making those franchises a lasting hit.

In the world of movie marketing, the genuine interactions generated by interactive photo and video experiences are like the superheroes of creating hype, building connections, and keeping movie fandoms alive. They're not just moments; they're what turns a film into a success.
